Privacy Policy.
How NC Online Notary, LLC collects, uses and protects your information. We don't sell your personal information.
Who we are
This policy explains how NC Online Notary, LLC, including its trade name NC Seniors & Caregivers Online Notary ("we," "us"), collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website or our notary services.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request an appointment, contact us or join our Launch List, we collect what you enter, such as your name, phone number, email, county or ZIP code, appointment type, meeting address, the type of document, the number of signers, whether witnesses are needed, your preferred times and your message. If you send us a document to review, we receive that document.
Information from your notarization. North Carolina law requires us to identify every signer and allows or requires us to keep a notary journal. At your appointment we may record your name, address, the type of identification you show and its details, the date and type of notarial act, and your signature. For remote electronic notarization (REN), once we offer it, the session is recorded on audio and video and the state-licensed platform performs identity verification and confirms your location, as North Carolina law requires.
Payment information. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We don't store full card numbers.
Website information. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited), and the site may set cookies needed for it to work. Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads. We don't use advertising cookies.

- To review your documents for notarization readiness, schedule your appointment and send estimates, receipts, confirmations and reminders
- To perform and record notarial acts as North Carolina law requires

Text messages
If you agree to be contacted by text, we may text you about your request or appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
We don't share your mobile phone number or your text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
How long we keep information
Electronic notarial records, including REN recordings once we offer REN, are kept for at least 10 years as North Carolina law requires. Other information is kept only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
